Announcing the publication of our fifth catalog, which includes some exceptionally rare and highly important maps and atlases. We are pleased to offer all four of Samuel de Champlain's landmark maps of New France, and a recently discovered, and possibly unique example of the first printed map of New England by Capt. John Smith in full period color.  Also included are the first state of Bernard Ratzer's Plan of the city of New York (1769); Nicolas de Fer's great wall map of the Americas, the original "Beaver Map"; John White's map of "Virginia" (1590), the first map of an English colony in America; Arent Roggeveen's exceptionally rare first Dutch sea chart of the Chesapeake (1675); two fine items relating to Texas (nos. 45 and 46); and an example of Gerard de Jode's rare cordiform world map of 1571-78 in striking full period color.
